Key West Sebago Watersports travel in Florida, recent winner of the 5 Diamond Award for 'Best Shoreside Excursion' by AgentCruiseReview is now in its eighteenth year of operation and is the longest established day-charter catamaran operation in the continental United States.
Operation began in 1988 with the original famous 50’ racing catamaran Sebago. The racing sailboat was sponsored by the Sebago Shoe Co. in Maine and raced by transatlantic racer Walter Greene. Paul McGrail and Sean Rowley bought the Sebago and formed Sebago Catamarans. As a Key West, Florida travel company, we have grown since and we now operate three large catamarans that can carry up to 49, 65 and 125 passengers respectively. Key West Sebago Watersports also runs two parasail vessels and the seasonal operation of the 78’ Windjammer Appledore.
Key West Sebago Watersports in Florida offers daily travel including snorkel trips to America’s only living reef, champagne sunset cruises, all-day adventure cruises as well as private charters for weddings, parties and corporate meetings.
Owner/operators Paul McGrail and Sean Rowley,
both professional mariners, share their passion for sailing with
hundreds of thousands of Key West Florida travel visitors. Paul and Sean are both
from New England. They first met while shuttling Hinckley sailing
yachts to locations on the East Coast and the Caribbean.
Paul and Sean are directly involved with the day-to-day operations, both aboard and ashore. The combination of owner involvement along with a friendly, polite and well-trained staff is the key to the Key West, Florida travel company’s overall success. We are proud to have many long-term employees who help guarantee the safe and consistent high level of guest experience. Not surprisingly Key West Sebago Watersports in Florida has the highest level of repeat clientele in the industry. Providing each guest with polite and friendly personal service, even when sailing with large groups, is what sets our cruises above all others.

Sebago Cubed
Sebago Cubed was launched Oct. 16, 1993. Within minutes of launching she boarded sixty-five friends and went for her maiden sail. She was the first commercial sailing catamaran ever built in Key West and the first commercial sailing vessel constructed here in some eighty years. Cubed, as she is affectionately know, is designed by famed multihuller Walter Greene at Yarmouth, ME. Her hulls and boom were constructed by Greene Marine and then trucked to Key West. Paul and Sean assembled their own building company for the project. Headed by Swiss boat builder Walter Schurtenberger the construction initiated a boat building revival of sorts. Cubed is 60’ in length, has a beam of 28’ and draft of 3.5’ With her 74’ rotating wing spar she is one of the fastest commercial sailing catamarans ever built. Her USCG inspection is for 65 passengers. Her elegant lines and unique seating arrangement make her the crowd favorite. She is licensed in Florida as a restaurant with beer and wine service. She underwent a major refit in the fall of 2003.
